Homewood Suites by Hilton Brighton

The wife and I have been staying at this location for about twenty years. When the kids were young they loved the pool and hot tub. Is there too much chlorine in the pool? Yes but consider the amount of kids using the pool it's probably a good idea. Does the location need updating? Yes but the folks that run the hotel are nice and generally friendly. It's clean and the beds are comfortable. Kudos to Chet for his great breakfasts!

The staff at this hotel were all so nice, so helpful. They offered a fantastic breakfast each morning, however, not many options for vegans. The location is great, no traffic noise at all. The rooms, while very large are VERY worn. The hotel could use some TLC. We were on the second floor. The first night we were there, the noise above us was quite excessive until really late into the night. It sounded like someone was continuously dropping their luggage (or bowling ball ). No fault of the hotel. The exterior door to the hotel never locked during our entire week long stay. The gym was reasonable, however, no key was required to get in. It was uncomfortable using the gym knowing that anyone could access the hotel thru that exterior door. The laundry room, which required a key to access, had a weird smell, sort of like old water. We opted to use a laundromat in town. One would expect more from a Hilton Hotel. I wish I had remembered to take more photos. I would stay there again, and perhaps ask for an updated room.

Actually blown away by the quality of this Homewood suites. I am a frequent traveler, and frequent Homewoods user. We got a very cheap room, not expecting much. We live in town, and had some issues at our house that required us to stay somewhere else last minute. The room was very nice, incredibly clean. For an older hotel it didn’t have that weird smell in the rooms. The evening reception was great, had a couple glasses of wine and a beer. Food wasn’t spectacular, but it was OK. Better than I’ve gotten from the other evening receptions. The breakfast was amazing! They weren’t out of anything, and had some very unique items. Best Homewood suites I’ve stayed in ever, and I can’t imagine there’s many hotels better in the Brighton area.

The hotel is in need of an upgrade for the rooms, interior wall and carpet. However it is very clean. Rooms are setup very nice. King suite has a lot of open area. Pool area is nice. Appreciated the buyable pantry items available in the lobby. The daily breakfast was really good, a very wide variety of items. We would stay here again.

Huge rooms, feels like a small apartment with all appliances and furniture you will need. It has a couch, and TV in the living room, a kitchen with fridge, microwave, cooktop, dishwasher, coffee machine. Plenty of room for your clothes. There is an additional TV on the bedroom. The hotel is old as well as the furnitures and finishing but it’s very clean and well kept. I recommend this place to business travelers specially if they are going to stay for long time. The breakfast is also very good!

Becky at the front desk was amazing! She was super helpful and friendly - a joy to work with. The breakfast gal did a superb job keeping the spread fresh and tasty.

Room was great but I was afraid of the sink falling on my feet. I didn't test the sturdiness of the ill repair.

Overall great stay. Can't beat the price and location for what we needed. We had a kitchenette and room was quite spacious. It could use some updating but is what it is. Comfy bed. Also I'm not sure why people complain about the breakfast, thought it was amazing for being free and a 3 star hotel. Maybe people forget they're not staying at a 4/5 star hotel. Eggs with multiple toppings, different sides/meats, the usual waffle maker but again a lot of toppings. Chia yogurt, different pastries, etc. Our only complaint was the amount of chlorine in the hot tub and leaving with very bleached out swimsuits.
